Education and experience: after starting his studies on the faculty of Arts and Sciences at University of Toronto 1973-1975, he transferred into Medical field and in 1979 graduated as MD from University of Toronto School of Medicine. In 1986 introduced the Ilizarov Method to the United States and Canada. He became Chief of Pediatric Orthopedics in 1987-2001 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Dr. Paley founded and became a director of the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics. During years 2001-2009 he was director of the International Center for Limb Lengthening (ICLL) at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. In 2009 he founded and since then he is a director of the Paley Institute.
