A. Melih Özel M.D.

Prof.Dr.A.Melih ÖZEL was born in Konya. He attended primary and secondary school in Afyon and high school in Istanbul. In 1986, he graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Faculty. After working as a general practitioner in İzmir, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine (1993) and Gastroenterology (1996) at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital. He worked in Girne as Internal Diseases Specialist and in Diyarbakır Military Hospitals as Gastroenterology Specialist. He became Assistant Professor in 1998. He became an associate professor in 2004 and worked at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Center between 2004 and 2010. He served as a lecturer in Gastroenterology. In 2010, he transferred to Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine and became a professor in 2010. He has been working at Anadolu Medical Center Hospital since January 2013. Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Chronic Liver Diseases, Pancreatobiliary system diseases, Upper and lower GI endoscopies, ERCP are the main areas of interest.
