Dursun Buğra, M.D.

Dursun Buğra, M.D., specialist of general surgery, was born in 1954 in Karadeniz Ereğli. He graduated from Galatasaray High School in 1973 and from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa School of Medicine in 1979. Dr. Buğra completed his residency at Istanbul University, Istanbul School of Medicine, Department of General Surgery in 2002. He completed his military service at Sarıkamış Military Hospital between 1983-1985 and his obligatory service at SSK Istanbul Hospital between 1985-1987. He returned to the General Surgery Department of Istanbul University Istanbul School of Medicine as a fellow and worked in the same institution until 2011. He was promoted to be Associate Professor in 1989 and Professor in 1996. He worked as a visiting Professor at France Nancy University School of Medicine, Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery in 1989-1990. Dr. Bugra started to work as an attending physician at V.K.V. American Hospital in 2010. He started to work as Head of the Department of General Surgery at the American Hospital in January 2018.
