Born in 1957 in Elazig, Dr. Mustafa Remzi Karaoğuz graduated from Medicine faculty of Ankara University in 1980. In 1985, he complited his residency studies in the inernal medicine field and after two years in the field of cardiology at the same University. His internationa experience includes electrophysiology training at Medicine Methodist Hospital Baylor College. In 1990-1991, he finished military service at Medical Academy of Gülhane Military. He received his Associate Professor degree in Cardiology in 1989 and Professor degree in 1995. He was a member of Medicine Faculty of Ankara University, cardiology Department, until 2010. He worked as a Cardiology Professor at Ankara Guven Private Hospital between 2010-2015. His focal points were on the fields like cardiac arrythmias treatment, atrial fibrillation, ablation of ventricular and supraventricular arrythmias, permanent pacemaker and applications of defibrillator. Furthermore, he published 3 books and two of them are about cardiac device therapy. Nowadays, he works as a Cardiology Professor at Koç University Hospital and Vehbi Koç Foundation American Hospital in Istanbul.
