About Doctor
Ron Carmeli graduated Pappaport Faculty of Medicine at Israel Institute of technology in 1982. He went as a research fellow at Cardiovascular Surgery and Intensive Care Unit, Thorax Center, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, Netherlands. He became E.C.F.M.G. US Certified in 1982. He went through residency in General and Vascular Surgery at Rambam Medical Center, Israel, in 1983-1989 years, during his residency years he went to the USA several times for fellowship programs, at Fort Collins Medical School, Mayo Clinic and La Jolla, And to Germany, at Medizinische Hochschule Hannover. He got Canadian Medical License in 1990 and worked as a Vascular Surgeon at Health Science Center in Winnipeg Canada for 3 years, where he served as Associate professor as well. Since 1993 he is the head of vascular department as Carmel Medical Center, Haifa, Israel. From 1998 he is the lecturer for vascular clerkship programs at Carmel Medical Center. He is the member of European Vascular Society and honorary Head of Georgian Vascular Society. He is the author of several books and countless publications.
