Born in 1973 in Afyon, Dr. Uğur Selek graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School in 1997, He completed his Radiation oncology residency in 2001, at the same university. In 2001-2003 he underwent through clinical fellowship at Radiation Oncology Department of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. His 2 year fellowship included 2 programs: 3-Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy Clinic Program and Intensity Modulated and Stereotactic Radiotherapy Clinical Program. He won First Annual Radiation Oncology Fellow reasearch Award of M.D. Anderson. He received his Associate Professor and Professor degrees at Hacettepe University, accordingly in 2004 and in 2006. Since, 2009, Dr. Uğur Selek is the faculty member of the department of Radiation Oncology at Texas University M.D Anderson Cancer and also Senior Vice President of Radiation Oncology at VKV American Hospital.
