Born in 1973, Soner Sanioğlu graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1996. In 1997, he started his residency in Cardiovascular Surgery ar Dr. Siyami Ersek Chest and Cardiovascular Surgery Hospital. After completing his specialty training in 2002, he worked as a chief assistant in the same hospital for 8 years. During this period, he has military service at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital. In 2007, he received training on endovascular aneurysm repairs at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Vascular Surgery Clinic with a European Union scholarship. In 2010, he was successfully appointed as Clinic Chief at Samsun Training and Research Hospital Cardiovascular Surgery opened by the Ministry of Health. In 2011, he was awarded the title of associate professor. He left his post as chief of clinic in 2012 and started working at Istanbul Surgery Hospital. He left this hospital in 2013 and worked as a lecturer at Yeditepe University Hospital Department of Cardiovascular Surgery.
