Tunç Öktenoğlu, M.D.

Born in Antalya in 1964, Prof. Tunç Öktenoğlu graduated from I.U Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1988. During 1988-1990, he completed his mandatory service at Emergency Department of Adana State Hospital as a general practitioner. His specialization in Brain and Nerve Surgery took place at Marmara University in 1992-1997. Meanwhile, he passed 4 year courses of the European Association of Neurosurgeons and in 1996 he completed Gamma-Knife course ar Karolisnka Institute, in sweden. Between years 1997 and 1999 Dr. Öktenoğlu studied Spine Biomechanics at New Mexico University. He received his Associate Professor title in 2011. He authored 48 articles in international and 15 articles in national referred magazines, 3 international and 14 domestic book chapters. Prof. Tunç Öktenoğlu is working at Neurosurgery Department of American Hospital since 1999.
